ウクライナ危機に関する声明（日本文）

ロシア軍によるウクライナ侵攻に強く抗議し、ロシア軍のウクライナからの速やかな撤退を求めます。

私たちは1986年、旧ソ連で起こったチェルノブイリ原発事故によるウクライナの被災者救援にこの31年間関わってきました。世界最初の大規模な原発事故により多くのウクライナの人々が故郷を追われ、健康被害に苦しめられる現実を見てきました。被災地域の住民の方々はもとより、自らの犠牲を顧みずウクライナの為に働いた事故処理作業者とその家族の方々は今も苦しんでいます。ウクライナの人々に再びこうした苦しみを味わって欲しくありません。

この度のロシアによるウクライナでの戦闘行動は、改めてウクライナの人々にただならぬ苦難をもたらし、子ども達の未来にも大きな暗雲をもたらすものです。ウクライナ国内の問題に外国勢力が軍事力をもって干渉することは如何なる理由でも許されるものではありません。全ての国家間の問題は対話と外交により解決すべきであり、武力や戦争では解決できません。このことは過去の２度にわたる世界大戦とその後の様々な国際紛争を経て人類が学んだ教訓です。広島、長崎の原爆投下から70年以上経った今も、私たちは地球から核兵器を無くす事が出来ていません。核抑止力をもって戦争をなくす、という愚かな選択を私たちは断じて許しません。

この度、ロシア軍がチェルノブイリ原発を占拠した事で、今後どのような事態が起こるか国際的な不安が高まっています。私たちはロシア軍が速やかにウクライナから撤退し、いかなる軍事的手段も用いず、ウクライナとロシア双方の対話と外交によって、市民の命を第一とした新たな未来が拓かれることを強く求めます。

Statement on the Ukrainian Crisis（English）

We strongly protest the Russian invasion of Ukraine and call for the prompt withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.

We have been involved in the relief activity of Ukraine's victims by the Chernobyl accident in 1986 in the former Soviet Union for the se 31 years. We have seen these years the reality that many Ukrainians have been displaced from their hometowns and suffered from health hazards due to the world's first major nuclear accident. Not only are the residents of the affected areas, but also the liquidators and their families who worked for Ukraine without regard f or their own sacrifices still suffering. We don't want t he se Ukrainians to experience th e suffering again.

Russia's fighting action in Ukraine once again brings tremendous hardship to the Ukrainian people and brings a great unhappines s to the future of children. It is unacceptable for any reason for foreign powers to interfere with problems within Ukraine by military force.

Problems between all nations should be solved by dialogue and diplomacy, not by force or war. This is a lesson lea rned by mankind through the last two world wars and the various international conflicts that followed. Even now, more than 70 years after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we have not been able to eliminate nuclear weapons from the earth. We a bsolutely do not allow the stupid choice of eliminating war with nuclear deterrence.

With the Russian army occupying the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, there is growing international concern about what will happen in the future. We urge the Russian army to withdraw quickly from Ukraine and open up a new future with civilian life first through dialogue and diplomacy between Ukraine and Russia, without using any military means.
